We’re looking for a sales executive to join our team as a big part of our small and growing team.

What you’ll do here:

  • Help clients navigate communications challenges, propose custom solutions and close new consulting business.
  • Consult with communications leaders across industries and close business to support the organization’s goals.
  • Develop lasting relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Work with our Lead Administrator on new inbound prospects.
  • Tap into existing prospects and build new business through outbound sales efforts.
  • Support the VP of Sales & Marketing with existing accounts and new contracts.
  • Manage inbound leads and outbound sales outreach from various marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with our consultants and sales and marketing team to identify new business opportunities, solutions and revenue streams.
  • Develop a client referral program.
  • Leverage the HubSpot sales and marketing platform for client management.
  • Liaise between clients, consultants and operations to ensure a smooth handoff for new projects
  • Attend industry conferences and events to represent our brand, network with prospective clients and advise them on possible solutions.
  • Familiarity with Calendly, Zoom and Airtable is preferred.

What you need:

  • A minimum of three years of sales experience in consultative sales, preferably in communications services, PR or advertising agency or a service-driven industry with evidence of prior success.
  • Proficiency in account planning and an understanding of lead management.
  • The ability to prospect and reach senior-level contacts within midsize and large organizations.
  • Advanced knowledge of HubSpot CRM software is required; other CRM software experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated intellect, drive and sales acumen.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills (written and oral) to create a compelling story about our services.
  • Knowledge of the complete life cycle of the sales process, from prospecting to closing.
  • Proven experience building excellent client relationships through customized offerings and strategic insights into their businesses.
  • Strong proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Suite, Google Docs.
  • Experience with PandaDoc, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and AirTable a plus.

This role reports to the VP of Sales & Marketing. It’s fully remote, but our team has occasional in-person team meetings and outings and up to 20 percent travel to conferences and workshops in fun cities. Preference is given to candidates in the Chicagoland area, but open to top candidates across the US.
