Ragan’s Workplace Wellness Awards, Class of 2024: Winners announced
Check out this year’s class of winners making employee wellbeing a priority.
Ragan is excited to announce the winners of our Workplace Wellness Awards, Class of 2024, honoring the wellness communications initiatives that set a benchmark of excellence. This year’s winners include worldwide organizations and individuals that foster a culture of wellness at work and set commendable examples for others to follow. These organizations and people prioritize their employees’ mental, physical, social, financial and professional wellbeing.
Among the many impressive employee wellbeing efforts of this year’s winners, several initiatives stood out:
- The Cigna Group’s annual Global Wellness Challenge (GWC), running for six weeks, encourages employees and their families to accumulate activity minutes with incentives such as prizes, wellbeing incentive dollars and charitable donations. Evolving from its origins in 2010, the GWC now encompasses mental and physical health, social connection and volunteering, driving an 8.1% increase in participation in 2023, with over 28,605 participants tracking nearly 61 million minutes of wellness activity.
- Food Lion implemented the Healthy Foundations program to increase awareness and utilization of benefits among its 82,000 associates across 10 states. By organizing benefits into four pillars aligned with company values and creating an interactive card game featuring diverse personas, Food Lion successfully engaged associates and achieved a completion rate of 92% by October 2023. A 300% increase in Employee Assistance Program utilizations and over 130% increase in counseling sessions demonstrate the program’s positive impact on engaging associates about benefit offerings.
- Over the past year, Johnson & Johnson prioritized learning and development, aiming to foster a culture of growth and innovation across its workforce. Through the implementation of “J&J Learn,” a comprehensive learning and development ecosystem accessible to all 150,000 global employees, the company facilitated personalized learning experiences and provided resources for career advancement, resulting in increased employee retention and high-performance ratings. Leveraging consumer-grade technology and continuous feedback loops, J&J has seen success in promoting employee wellbeing and professional development, including an outstanding Global Learning Day, where over 109,000 learning completions were recorded.
