Employee wellness tech: personalized stipend software, health monitoring via new wearable and more

Here are some of the new wellness tech you should know about for the week of April 18-22:

Compt is an employee perk stipend software that focuses on personalization. Within the software, human resource teams can assign set stipends in broad categories, such as “health and wellness” or “family,” then employees can select services within the category that appeal to them. Beyond perk stipends, companies can use the software to send employee bonuses or tie bonus programs to perk stipends. Compt can integrate directly with the backend of HR systems and payroll software.

– The i-Trac wearable and app are designed for tracking and managing mental and physical wellness. The wearable and app can record and generate insights from personalized wellness data like vital signs, medication tracking, stress levels, physical exertion and more. Within the i-Trac Health Journey app, users can allow the input of laboratory test results, symptoms, medications and mood, or data can be privately shared with a physician or other health professionals. The app is also compatible with Apple and Android watches though not all functionality is captured.  

Menopause-focused telehealth startup Evernow  matches users with clinicians and offers prescription treatment options that address symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats and skin or hair changes. Users who sign up for the service create a health profile, which results in a tailored treatment plan. Medication will be delivered directly to their homes. The telehealth provider is not in network with insurance providers but does accept FSA and HAS cards.

Secfi introduces a new employee benefits program that offers stock option education programs for employees at startups. Secfi for Startups focuses on providing resources and education to guide employees in understanding equity planning and for startup employers.

– Wellness and education provider Mike Veny, Inc. launches its Connectivity and Conversations course, which offers workplace mental health training for managers. The course offers tools, tips and strategies for how to have mental health conversations at work. It is available through subscription-based service OpenSesame Plus Catalog, which offers on-demand training.

Kemtai partners with RecoveryOne on to provide physical therapy patients with real-time feedback and guidance at home. Using Kemtai’s computer vision and artificial intelligence technology, RecoveryOne’s Motion Trainer uses the built-in camera on a user’s phone, computer or tablet to provide cues and movement quality scoring without the need for wearable sensors or other devices. This partnership aims to increase adherence to physical therapy programs, and the can be added as an employee benefit or through a health plan.
