Ragan’s 2023 Workplace Wellness Awards: Honorees and finalists announced
Discover the honorees and finalists making work a better place for all.
Employee wellbeing continues to grow in importance, and the workforce is taking note. Prioritizing the whole employee — their mental, physical, social and financial health — is no longer a nice-to-have organizational practice — it’s a business imperative. Ragan’s Workplace Wellness Awards are the benchmark of excellence for high-performing organizations that take employee wellbeing seriously.
The awards program is open to organizations worldwide, and offers them the opportunity to recognize their HR, wellness and communications initiatives and the hard-working people behind those programs.
Ragan is pleased to announce the 2023 Workplace Wellness Awards finalists for initiatives and programs and the people and places honorees working hard to create healthy workplaces. Take a look at the organizations making employee wellness a cornerstone of their work across industries like financial, healthcare, manufacturing, education, technology, retail, PR and more.
We’re also pleased to announce the People and Top Places of the Year honorees, such as Carlos Sánchez-Luis, AVP of AstraZeneca Latam and VP of AstraZeneca Brazil. Sánchez-Luis has been at the forefront of developing several high-impact strategies and initiatives that prioritize employee wellbeing, while also emphasizing the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. He and the leadership team in Latin America promote a strategy called The Power Is Within You, which includes various activations that communicate the company’s vision and priorities, along with initiatives that inspire employees to set new goals and pursue professional development opportunities. After six months, the new program saw 97% employee participation.
Among the Top Places to Work for Employee Wellbeing honorees is information technology company Wolters Kluwer. Its global wellbeing program, Together We Thrive, focuses on resilience as a key part of overall wellbeing. Resilience comprises skills to face stress, uncertainty and change effectively, including strategies to manage through to positive outcomes. One of the key initiatives in 2023 is the first annual Global Well-being Week, a new offering of the Together We Thrive program. Every day of the Global Well-being Week, Wolter Kluwer highlights a wellbeing dimension through activities like webinars, training, mobility challenges, healthy eating suggestions and more. Overall, 88.5% of participants rated the event excellent or good.
