HarrisX/Ragan CEO-Communicators Competencies Survey
Findings reveal the communications competencies most valued by CEOs.
- What do CEOs believe are the most important attributes and competencies of Chief Communications Officers?
- And where do CCOs think they bring the most value?
- Do the two align?
About the Survey
Ragan Communications partnered with research consultancy HarrisX in the Fall of 2021 to conduct the CEO-Communicators Competencies survey. The goal of the survey was to understand how each of these functions views the role of the communicator and what they most value in their interactions across small-, medium- and large-scale enterprises.
The survey was conducted from Oct. 22-Nov. 15 within the U.S. among 573 respondents, including 399 CEOs and 174 CCOs and other high-ranking senior communications professional overseeing communications within enterprises of all industries identified by HarrisX. The overall sampling margin of error of this poll is plus or minus 4.2 percentage points.
The findings of the survey were presented during the Nov. 17 Future of Communications Conference held during Communications Week 2021. The full report will be available to CEOs and communications professionals.
