Early this year, communicators told Ragan that their return-to-office plans will likely follow a hybrid approach for the foreseeable future. Respondents from organizations large and small continue to figure out how to stay close with dispersed teams.
In the Ragan 2022 Communications Benchmark Report, a majority of the respondents (69%) said that they expect return-to-office plans to rely on a hybrid arrangement, either by mandate or personal choice, while 8% view fully remote as a permanent option and 23% say plans were undecided or they were already back to the office full time.
The prevalence of hybrid work also presents challenges, with 32% of respondents saying that engaging a hybrid workforce is their biggest cultural challenge in 2022.
These insights are just a small fraction of the key findings from the fourth annual Communications Benchmark Report, an exclusive study for Ragan’s Communications Leadership Council, that reveals a range of sentiments and best-laid plans during a very dynamic time.
