1. Buckle up for a ‘surge’ of vaccine mandates.
CNN reports that President Biden plans to “impose more stringent vaccine rules on federal workers,” and that the White House will “take steps to encourage private businesses to do the same.”
Biden is also “signing an executive order requiring all federal workers to be vaccinated, with no option of being regularly tested to opt out of the requirement,” along with “an executive order directing that same standard be extended to employees of contractors who do business with the federal government.”
According to the report, the White House is quite keen to put more pressure on companies to enact vaccine mandates moving forward. This push tracks with other data that points to a looming “surge” of vaccine mandates in corporations throughout the U.S.
