If you have a teenager, you can probably translate the above. So you may be asking yourself, is this the future of corporate communications?
BTW, a study released by the Pew Internet & American Life Project on Thursday found that despite the constant texting, e-mailing and IMing by teens, 60 percent of them don’t think e-communication is the same as “writing.”
But does the popularity of e-communication mean the writing language of “LOL” and “BRB” could land in your company’s next press release?
Communicators and educators are seeing the effect of the shorthand in the classroom as some teens and college students fail to reach spelling and grammar standards. This could spell bad news for corporate America.
