Last year, a group of Swedish Medical Center organ transplant doctors took a climb up Mount Rainier, bringing transplant recipients on the journey.
This year, they brought something else: “Could we take social media up to the mountain with us?”
Having completed Swedish’s social media boot camps, the doctors knew that social media would be the best tool to spread their message about organ donation.
Coordinating the climb with the communications staff, the doctors used Twitter and UStream from Mount Rainier to broadcast their expedition.
