How to keep employee spirits up

Communicators, we know your employees are looking to you for news and information related to the pandemic. It can be anxiety producing for many, which is why we’ve launched a new series called “Inspiration Break.”

Consider sharing an inspirational story or anecdote that offers perspective, like one below. If nothing else, it’s a minute breather in an otherwise stressful day.

LIFE’S SEASONS

An old man wanted his four sons to not judge things too quickly. So over the course of a year he sent them each to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.

The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall.

At the end of the year, he called them together to describe what they had seen.

The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted.
