How to communicate changing guidance about COVID-19 boosters
Communicating the latest federal guidance and changes to COVID-19 boosters can strengthen trust with employees.
A recently-released report from the White House’s Office of Health Policy reports that COVID-19 vaccinations prevented approximately 650,000 hospitalizations and more than 300,000 deaths over the past year. It also cites fresh data from The Kaiser Foundation showing that only a third of adults have gotten the new booster shot that targets the omicron variant.
While these numbers may cause you to rethink that return-to-office plan, or push employees to get the latest booster, remember local mandates and regulations continue to change. Late last month, New York City mayor Eric Adams ended a mandate that all private employers require employees to be vaccinated, citing flexibility and a return to normalcy.
