Here’s how communicators feel about their salary and bonuses
Ragan’s 2023 Salary and Workplace Culture Survey found that men still earn more than women, raises are up and bonuses are down.
The 2023 edition of Ragan’s Salary and Workplace Culture Survey asked nearly 600 communicators across generational, gender, regional and industry demographics to weigh in on their pay and benefits. The results, available exclusively to Ragan Insider, Communications Leadership Council and PR Daily Pro members, highlight mixed job satisfaction. Just over half of all respondents (52%) said they plan to or might change jobs over the next year, a notable number considering 79% of respondents have remained with their current employer over the past 12 months.
Asked about their primary motivator for changing jobs, 36% cited more compensation. Yet a majority (55%) of total respondents said they were satisfied or very satisfied with their current compensation. Roughly a quarter (24%) said they were dissatisfied or very dissatisfied with their current compensation.
