A tablet starts up faster and is easier to carry; many users say they’re less inclined to log onto their desktop or laptop.
No wonder the Chinese are rioting over iPads. The ruckus in Beijing recently left us rather bewildered, since we can never pry our iPad out of the hands of our 7-year-old long enough to figure out what all the excitement’s about.
But now Inc. magazine, citing a new Nielsen survey, explains how tablets are changing electronic habits. For starters, the devices are taking tablet owners away from their computers.
We had suspected as much, since our kid never signs on to Lego.com on our household computer anymore.
