Edelman discusses employer trust and wellness at work
Hilary Philips Mehta, vice president of employee experience at Edelman, talks about the belief-driven employee.
At Ragan’s Workplace Wellness Conference 2022, Hilary Philips Mehta, vice president of employee experience at Edelman, looked at how the pandemic shifted employees’ priorities and raised the expectations of employers. This led to the rise of the belief-driven employee — those who choose and stay with employers based on their values and beliefs. Now eight in 10 employees expect their employer to play a meaningful role in helping workers stay as healthy as possible. That means that protecting the wellbeing and reflecting the values of current and prospective employees is no longer a “nice to have” but a business imperative.
Next year’s Workplace Wellness Conference is already well into the planning stages and will be held in Denver, August 14-16, 2023. As you prepare yourself for the next year’s conference, take a look at this clip from Mehta’s session where she discussed the “employer trust advantage” and wellness-focused insights from the latest Edelman Trust Barometer and Special Reports.
