Do writers need editorial buddies?

One blogger suggests this and other methods to improve your communications skills.

Perhaps you lace up your running shoes and go jogging with a friend, or bench-press weights in a gym with a workout buddy who roars, “Come on! Push it!”

It improves your performance, right? So how about adopting an editorial buddy?

That’s what Michelle Cubas, founder of Positive Potentials, says business writers ought to do to improve their skills.

In an entry for SmartBlog on Leadership, Cubas suggests a grab-bag of techniques to develop clearer writing and avoid the bloated verbiage some of us thought sounded smart in high school AP English courses. Cubas writes:
