Communicators hoping to build culture in remote, hybrid or displaced organizations must find new ways to create connections between employees.
“Of all the metrics that we are looking at as part of our hybrid workforce, one that is not working well for our employees is connection,” Microsoft Chief Talent Officer Joe Wittinghill said last fall during Ragan’s Strategic Communications Conference at Microsoft HQ in Seattle.
When Satya Nadella took over as CEO in 2014, he prioritized culture by putting communication at the forefront of each change he made. It involved a close partnership between the CEO’s office, communications, and HR across three areas of focus — people strategy, business strategy and technology strategy.
