- Rubius Therapeutics — Shine Like a RubyVideos drastically boost employee advocacy and awareness of ServiceNow’s brand Employee-generated videos were shared widely and increased exposure to potential candidates, an effort that won the Recruitment or Employer Branding Video category of Ragan’s Video, Visual & Virtual Awards. When the pandemic struck, many employees transitioned to working remotely, whether they were ready to or not. This called for new tactics to motivate and inspire these dispersed audiences, but it also meant addressing employees’ feelings of loneliness, stress and worry. ServiceNow knew that employee-generated content was their best approach to engage their newly remote, global workforce, while reminding them that they’re not alone and everyone was in this together. Videos showcasing their new normal work-from-home—and stuck-at-home—routines were submitted by employees to a new employee video app called Crew Studio. The first video was launched at a company all-hand meeting, which had more than 7,000 global employees tune in. The video was then shared across corporate channels, including the CEO’s LinkedIn channel. The video earned more than 100,000 views, building awareness of their talent brand and increasing exposure to potential job candidates. The second video featured the CEO reading a children’s book to all employees. This helped build morale and break down the walls of communication among employees and their organization’s leadership. The videos have received great engagement across channels. In Q2 of 2020 its employee blog stories received 2,000 unique visitors, 17,000 views of employee stories on employee social channels and more than 90,000 people reached on LinkedIn and Twitter. Employee advocacy has increased drastically, too; employees shared 97% more content in Q2 than in the company’s first quarter, and social media impressions were up by 91%. Ninety seven percent of its global workforce surveyed had a positive sentiment towards communications during COVID-19.
