Meet Government Communications or Government Public Affairs Professional, Chris Floore

Chris Floore works in the Office of Public Affairs for Macon-Bibb County (Georgia’s fourth-largest city and newest consolidated government), striving to ensure residents have easy access to accurate and engaging information through a variety of channels. Floore manages media relations, strategic & crisis communication, video services, graphic design, a weekly e-newsletter and other channels, achieving ambitious goals despite budget and staff reductions. In emergencies like Hurricane Irma, Floore guided proactive and reactive communications to: ensure residents were prepared; evacuees and the agencies supporting them had their needs met; and crews were supported in their recovery efforts.
