Meet the Internal Communications Team at MasterCard
MasterCard’s nine-member internal communications team coordinates its activities with regional communicators and technology teams to ensure its intranet content is not only current but also representative of the company’s worldwide operations. The team leverages the skills of its members: A skilled video producer handles video chores for a story, for example, while a talented writer tackles the copy. Even better, behind-the-scenes coordination ensures that duplicative stories are combined into one article that best conveys the organization’s efforts wherever they’re happening. As a result, the MasterCard intranet is relevant to employees around the world, demonstrated by the fact that more than half of its employee comments and more than 60 percent of its employee-contributed photos came from outside the U.S.
