A look inside GoDaddy’s inspiring efforts to empower and equip entrepreneurs
The company’s well-measured charitable work earns high praise and pride from its employees—and its altruistic endeavors nabbed a sought-after industry prize.
Corporate charity is often more of a token afterthought than a crucial component of a company’s culture.
That’s not the case at GoDaddy, which is “making opportunity more inclusive for all” by helping eager entrepreneurs in resource-depleted communities throughout the U.S. The company’s Empower by GoDaddy program is boosting small businesses—and giving people the priceless gift of economic opportunity.
“Since 2017, we’ve been able to help more than 1,000 entrepreneurs in underserved areas better themselves, their families and their communities—and there is no better feeling than watching someone overcome barriers and make their own way,” says Stacy Cline, GoDaddy’s corporate citizenship director.
Cline’s “Corporate Citizenship” squad of three handles the logistics and strategy behind GoDaddy’s philanthropic initiatives, and her team regularly reinforces the results of charitable efforts through consistent storytelling.
