Tips for reclaiming and refreshing your company culture comms
It all starts with understanding what promises your company keeps around its employee experience.
When companies talk about culture, they’re often describing the set of promises that it makes and keeps (or doesn’t) which comprise the day-to-day employee experience. During a pre-conference workshop ahead of Ragan’s Communications and Culture Conference, Kristin Graham, founder and ‘chief nerd’ of Unlock the Brain and Ragan Consulting Group facilitator, began by reminding attendees that culture isn’t decided in a meeting. Graham cited multiple corporate culture blunders over the past few years, including that time the Better.com CEO fired 900 employees over Zoom and the instance when Apple employees sent an internal letter to push back against returning to the office.
