Meet the Large Communications Team at SaskPower

The leaders of the SaskPower corporate communications team have created a high-performing culture and developed guiding principles to show how they work together to support each other and the company’s objectives. Some of their most challenging recent communication projects have included a public outreach campaign aimed at informing customers of the need for investment to upgrade an aging power system; communicating the need for a rate increase (an effort that received extensive media coverage with factual, accurate reporting of the rationale for the increase); and communicating awareness of loud “steam blows” to the surrounding community during the reactivation of a coal-fired plant using carbon capture and storage technology.
