These types of complaints haven’t stopped, especially when it relates to technology. I think technology is actually improving reading and writing. Here are five reasons why:

1. The act of writing is easier. When I wrote my undergraduate thesis, in 1979, I did it on a typewriter. I can no longer remember how I managed to do that. I needed scissors and scotch tape (or glue) by my side at all times.
