Major League Baseball’s 2018 World Series is over, but you could still work for MLB Advanced Media if you land one of this week’s featured positions.
Two storied franchises clashed for the 2018 World Series title.
Though this was the first meeting between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox in the Fall Classic, it isn’t the first time the two franchises have gone head to head for the title of baseball’s world champion. The Boston Red Sox defeated the Brooklyn Robins in the 1916 World Series. The Robins would later become the Brooklyn Dodgers and, ultimately, the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The two sides rank among the top five franchises with the most World Series titles since 1903, according to Statista.
According to those data, the Red Sox are third, having been crowned World Series champions eight times. They trail the New York Yankees, with an astounding 27 titles, and the St. Louis Cardinals, with 11. The Dodgers are tied with four other teams for fourth-most wins, having earned the title five times.
