3 resolutions for new (and not-so-new) corporate communicators

I’ve never been one to make new-year resolutions. I gave up doing so eons ago, when I realized at the end of a given year that not only had I not resolved anything of note, I could not remember what it was I had resolved I would do over the course of 12 months. Still, that doesn’t stop me during this time of year from contemplating areas of needed self-improvement and setting reasonable deadlines to help me get there.

As I’ve been mulling over what I wish to next accomplish, I couldn’t help think of things I’ve done that have not only helped me career-wise but in life in general. I thought I’d pass along a few gems of wisdom, at no charge to you. They’re strictly suggestions, and you might find them interesting or even useful, particularly if you’re just embarking on a corporate communications career or have been doing corporate editorial work a while and sometimes feel you’re treading water, if not drowning altogether.
